cGROUPS
cGroups are a key aspect of our church community. Most meet weekly in the home of a group member (usually the leader’s home). We try to keep them limited to about 12 people. We’ve got groups everyday of the week so you can find one that fits your schedule. Groups are a place to really get to know your church and connect with the people in it (and some of our groups do really cool stuff like going skydiving together).
COMPASSION KIDS
We believe that kids should have a blast at church every single week – and at Compassion Kids, we make this a priority. The other thing we make a priority is your children’s safety. Because of that, we have a detailed check-in process for Compassion Kids the first time that you visit. You’ll want to leave yourself an extra ten minutes to get signed in for the Compassion Kids experience. Compassion Kids is offered at every Compassion service for infants through 5th grade.
COMPASSION YTH
Our goal at Compassion Church is to provide a safe and fun place for teens to connect with God and each other. We teach our teens to love God, love others, and be an example. We meet downstairs every Wednesday, open to all students grades 6th-12th. Doors open at 5:30 PM, we’ll kick things off at 6 PM & parents can be there to pick up at 7:30 PM. We cant wait to meet you!
THE WELL
The easiest way for women to get connected and form lasting friendships at Compassion is through The Well. Moms, daughters, and sisters connect through talking life, family, and Jesus. We know that women are usually doing a lot behind the scenes, we recognize all of your efforts and offer you an opportunity to get away and refill your spirit, while spending time with friends.
MEN’S GROUP
On the first Saturday of every month we have a Men’s Breakfast. We work together on projects around the church, get to know our brothers in Christ and eat great food. Occasionally we’ll go on excursions to hang out at each others home, go fishing, etc. Contact Joe Walls at [email protected] if you’re interested in joining us for our next Men’s Breakfast.
OUTREACH
At Compassion we believe that we were called to do way more than just show up to church on Sunday mornings. We aim to be the hands and feet of Jesus & make a difference in the lives of those in our community. In the past we’ve held block parties, given away thanksgiving boxes, held Sunday School on the sidewalks of nearby apartment complexes, partnered with local organizations like God’s Pit Crew, Hoop Don’t Shoot, etc. We strive to regularly show up in Danville and change our city from the inside out. Our mission at Compassion is to love God & love others.
CHURCH ONLINE
Not in Danville? Not able to go to church in-person? No problem. We believe in sharing the gospel, no matter where in the world you are or what your circumstances may be. That’s why we created Compassion Online. We livestream all of our Sunday worship services, have online cGroups so you can get connected, and have various ways to serve as part of our online community. Church online isn’t about watching, the church isn’t a building, it’s the body of Christ. So don’t be afraid to comment during services, sing along during worship, and spread the gospel by sharing our services with your friends.
